Instead of paying premiums to agencies or registries, you can easily search, interview, hire, schedule and pay Care Providers all through our platform while being in complete control of care.

    • Q : Who can receive care services through eCaregivers?
    • A : eCaregivers is an online platform available for any adult over the age of 18 who needs assistance with companionship, personal care, nursing care, or PT/OT/ST.
      eCaregivers does not currently allow anyone under the age of 18 to receive care services through the platform.
    • Q : Where does eCaregivers provide services?
    • A : eCaregivers is an online platform, currently open to Care Recipients in 18 states on the East Coast including:

    • Q : What are your minimums for hours or services?
    • A : eCaregivers is an open platform designed to help Care Seekers and Care Providers find each other and manage care in a way that meets both parties’ needs. Therefore, there are:
      • No shift minimums
      • No weekly minimums
      • No contracts
      • No commitments
      As long as the schedule works for the Care Provider, you are free to schedule as much or as little care you need!
    • Q : How much does it cost a Care Seeker to join eCaregivers.com?
    • A : Joining eCaregivers as a Care Seeker is completely FREE. There is no fee to create an account with us. Unlike other sites, the only charge for the eCaregivers platform is collected AFTER you receive care services from a Care Provider using our platform.
      Our platform fees are 10% for clients who choose Direct Pay and 20% for clients who choose W2-Full Service Pay. Processing fees may also apply for payments. It is easy to see what hiring a Care Provider would cost - just look for the button on each Care Provider’s profile - a quick hover will reveal the full cost of care including all wages, taxes (if applicable) and fees.
      This service fee allows us to maintain our platform and continue providing advanced features such as:

    • Q : Who pays the Care Provider?
    • A : All payments are integrated and processed through eCaregivers. It is easy to review past payments or print a full payment record at any time.
      With Direct Pay, payments are processed directly from the Care Seeker’s credit card to Care Provider’s bank account or debit card.
      With W2-Full Service Pay, payments are processed by HomeWork Solutions, our integrated payroll partner, from the Care Seeker’s bank account to HomeWork Solutions who then withholds necessary taxes, etc. and issues a weekly payment in the form of direct deposit or mailed check to the Care Provider.
    • Q : Who picks my Care Provider?
    • A : You do! We understand how personal of a choice it is, so unlike most agencies, we put you in complete control of finding the perfect Care Provider for your needs. Our Care Navigators will assist you throughout the process, but we leave the choice completely up to you as we believe you know your loved one best.
      eCaregivers allows you to search our database of Care Providers - reviewing their full profiles for FREE. You can then easily and safely interview Care Providers through our platform from the safety and comfort of your own home without revealing any of your personal contact information.

    • Q : Do you verify the identity or Care Providers?
    • A : Each Care Provider’s profile should show an “Identity Checked” badge. eCaregivers does an Identity Check on Care Providers to protect the integrity of our site. The Identity Check is performed by industry leader, Trulioo, and uses the information the Care Provider has entered such as name, address, phone number, date of birth and last 4 of SSN to verify the provider’s identity against publicly available databases.
      IMPORTANT: An identity check is NOT a background check. eCaregivers strongly recommends Care Seekers perform a background check - the platform makes this easy by offering an integrated background option at the time of engaging / hiring.
    • Q : Do you background check Care Providers?
    • A : eCaregivers believes strongly in providing consumers with the most transparent background check process possible. We have designed our platform so that you have the option to order a background check at the time of sending a job offer to a Care Provider, ensuring that the background check is up to date and you receive the full results so you can view the detailed report yoruself.
      Why is this the best decision for our clients?
      This process ensures:
      1. You know exactly what is included in the background check you choose
      2. Background check is run at the time of hiring
      3. You can receive the full results because the provider has consented to you specifically running the check
      4. You can also run or re-run the checks at any time after engaging with your Care Provider.

      eCaregivers offer 3 types of background checks: a basic criminal check for $14.99, a premium criminal check for $49.99 and a driver’s record check for $29.99. All checks are securely run through The Global Verification Network.
    • Q : Are the Care Providers on eCaregivers licensed?
    • A : Licensing requirements vary from state to state and by profession. We also find that many Care Seekers primarily need help with companionship tasks which generally do not require a license in any state. Therefore, eCaregivers does not require Care Providers to be licensed in order to be listed on our platform. However, each Care Provider can designate in their profile any professional licenses that they may have.
      These can indicate one of the following licenses:
      • CHHA - Certified Home Health Aide
      • CNA - Certified Nursing Aide
      • PCA - Personal Care Aide
      • LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse
      • RN - Registered Nurse
      • BSN - Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing
      • PT - Physical Therapist
      • OT - Occupational Therapist
      • ST - Speech Therapist
      • Other - Any Other License/Training

      It is your responsibility to verify the license of the Care Provider you are engaging or hiring. The license information that the Care Provider provided will be provided to you during the interview and offer processes. Almost all states have a Board of Nursing website to provide an online verification tool that takes less than 1 minute. However, we also suggest that you verify all documentation in person prior to starting services of each Care Provider.
    • Q : Can I make schedule changes?
    • A : Absolutely! At eCaregivers, you are in control. You can use our platform’s scheduling system to easily add, edit, or cancel any shifts with just a few clicks of a button. Your Care Provider will be immediately notified of any changes via text and/or email through our messaging tool. If you anticipate a lot of schedule changes or need a flex-schedule, we suggest that you communicate with your Care Provider about your need for flexibility and make schedule changes in advance whenever possible.
    • Q : Can I change my Care Provider?
    • A : eCaregivers allows you to find and interview Care Providers for FREE. The hope is that through this process you will find a great provider the first time. However, sometimes unforeseen circumstances or just a personality difference can cause you to seek a replacement. You can easily follow the same process to search, interview, and hire your next Care Provider.
    • Q : How are my care services verified?
    • A : Enjoy the peace of mind you deserve. Care Providers clock in / out either through a GPS location verified link or through a home phone verified call. We require this location verification for accuracy and to provide you with transparent, connected care and you will receive a text and/or email notification immediately when a Care Provider clocks in or out OR if they miss a scheduled clock in or out.
      Care Providers are also encouraged to complete Care Tasks updates, filling out what exactly was completed during that shift.
    • Q : What is back up care?
    • A : Care Providers may need time off for vacation or because they are sick. eCaregivers allows all Care Seekers to have pre-approved back up care.
      Your primary Care Provider can invite other Care Providers that they know and trust to help. These invited Care Providers are then available for you to interview and accept as back up care.
      When your primary Care Provider is unable to make a shift, you will be able to offer your pre-approved Care Provider(s) the open shift, and the first person who accepts will be scheduled with all the benefits of the platform in place.
      This allows for minimal disruptions to your care services.
